My regular readers know what a huge fan I am of Gracie and the Dudes ice cream in Sea Bright, New Jersey. I am always craving their homemade, ultra-creamy creations, but this holiday season, they have completely outdone themselves! I have become completely obsessed with their three new seasonal flavors:
Peppermint Stick
Gingerbread Man
Rum Raisin
Remember those puffy peppermint candies that used to melt in your mouth in a puff of minty happiness? Peppermint Stick evokes delicious memories of those little treats! Gingerbread Man ice cream is thick with chunks of soft, homemade gingerbread cookies. Not only does it taste like home-baked cookies, but the spicy aroma fills your senses with the holidays! And the Rum Raisin…my biggest obsession…this ice cream is just completely amazing! If you have never tried Rum Raisin, or think you don’t care for that flavor, you absolutely must try Gracie and the Dudes’ Rum Raisin – it is truly the best I have ever had (and I have tasted a lot of rum raisin!). If you are already a Rum Raisin fan, get ready for the ultimate Rum Raisin! Put it this way…after tasting a sample at the store, I bought a pint to take home, and also a cone for the car, since I couldn’t go the whole 20-minute car ride home without tasting it again!
As if their homemade ice cream wasn’t incredible enough, Gracie and the Dudes also makes homemade caramel sauce and fudge sauce that are to DIE for!
Think about it…Peppermint Stick ice cream drizzled with fudge sauce, or Gingerbread Man coated in caramel sauce…and Gracie and the Dudes even has their caramel and fudge wrapped up as gift packs this year! Wouldn’t that make a perfect stocking stuffer or gift for a teacher, co-worker, friend, neighbor…or pretty much anyone, for that matter! Who wouldn’t love these little jars of yummy happiness?
Ok…all of this writing has made me hungry…I’m off to do some damage on that pint of Rum Raisin!
